Game 14 of the Pony League World Series has concluded. This game was the first of three games today. The participants were Miami (Tamiami), FL and Washington, PA. Final score of the game was Miami (Tamiami), FL (18) and Washington, PA (4).
This eliminates Washington, PA from the tournament.

Tamiami,FL eliminated host Washington, PA 18-4 in game 14 of the Pony League World Series.
Claudio Rubiera got it started with a two-run homer in the second inning.
Washington hung in the game and even took a 403 lead in the 5th inning, but was unable to hold onto it.
Tamiami’s Alex Fernandez hit a 3-run homerun to take back the lead and get the ball rolling again for Tamiami. He brought home Rubiera and David Jervis with him.
Jervis, Gabby Casals and Chris Medina each contributed a double in the 11-run effort of the 7th inning.
Chris Mourelle took the win on the mound, his second of the series. Don McWreath suffered the loss for Washington.
Tamiami advanced to play Riverside, CA in the third game of the evening. Scores will be reported shortly. |
