Pony League World Series : Game 13

Game 13 of the Pony League World Series has concluded. This game was the second of two games today (three games were originally scheduled but were unable to be fit in because of rain all morning in Washington, PA). The participants were Chinese Taipei, Taiwan and Johnstown (Boilers), PA. Final score of the game was Chinese Taipei, Taiwan (7) and Johnstown (Boilers), PA (3).

This eliminates Johnstown (Boilers), PA from the tournament.

GAME RECAP

Chinese Taipei knocked Johnstown out of the tournament after defeated them 7-3 in game 13 of the Pony League World Series.

Johnstown took an early lead when Jared Shope brought home Ian Helsel, and maintained that lead until the fifth inning when Chinese Taipei rallied.

Chih Chieh Su hit a three-run homerun to take a 4-1 lead over Johnstown. Jun Hung Sen and Shend Chieg Lin each hit a double to bring home a run, bringing Chinese Taipei to a 6-1 lead.

Chun Hsien Ho secured the victory after banging a homerun off the scoreboard in right field. Yu Cheng Chang earned the save.

Chinese Taipei advances to play Puerto Rico tomorrow evening at 5:30.
