Pony League World Series : Game 12

Game 12 of the Pony League World Series has concluded.  This game was the first of two games today (three games were originally scheduled but were unable to be scheduled because of rain all morning in Washington, PA).  The participants were Riverside (Victoria), CA and Washington, PA.  Final score of the game was  Riverside (Victoria), CA (3) and Washington, PA (2).

Washington, PA suffered its first loss of the Pony League World Series 3-2 against Riverside, CA.

Riverside scored the first run in the second inning, but Washington retaliated in their next at-bat. Washington’s Corey Hunsburger hit a solo homerun in the fouth inning to take a 2-1 lead.

Riverside came back in the sixth inning when Tony Martinez cracked a two-run homerun to win the game. Jack Johnson was the winning pitcher.

Washington will take on Tamiami, FL tomorrow  at 3:00 pm, while Riverside advances to play the winner of that game at 8:00 pm.
