Game 7 of the Pony League World Series has concluded. This game was the second of three games today. The participants were Bay City (Bay County), MI and Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. At the conclusion of the game in the top of the 7th inning the score was Bay City (Bay County), MI (3) and Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico (1). The game started today at 5:21PM EST and ended at 7:14PM EST.

This eliminates Salito, Coahuila, Mexico from the Pony League World Series.

Bay County, MI earned their first win in game 6 of the 2009 Pony League World Series after defeating Mexico 3-1, knocking Mexico out of the tournament.
Ryan Jankowski hit a double in the first inning and then scored on a wild pitch. He scored once more in the third inning to bring the team to a 2-0 lead. Chase Krager hit a double in the sixth inning to bring home one run and seal the win for Bay County. Grant Rosenbrock is credited with the win on the mound for Bay County.
Mexico’s Angel Resendez attempted a comeback in the fifth inning when he hit a double and then advanced home on a wild pitch and a single by Edgar Gil.
Mexico has been eliminated from the tournament.
Bay County will take the field again at 5:30 pm tomorrow evening against Chinese Taipei. |
