Pony League World Series : Game 6

Game 6 of the Pony League World Series has concluded.  This game was the first of three games today.  The participants were Riverside (Victoria), CA  and New Bedford, MA.  At the conclusion of the game in the 7th inning the score was Riverside (Victoria), CA (13)  and New Bedford, MA (2).  The game started today at 3:05PM EST and ended at 4:33PM EST.

Riverside/Victoria, CA came out swinging in their first game of the Pony League World Series. They defeated New Bedford, MA 13-2 in five innings.

Paul Martinez, Jr. got it started with a three-run homerun, bringing in Michael Darr and Gabriel Clark along with him. Martinez hit another homer in the third inning and a double in the fourth. He ended the game with eight RBI. Darr and Clark each added a homerun as well.

New Bedford’s two runs were scored by Nick LeBlanc and Billy Lessa.

Riverside will play Washington, PA on Tuesday August 11 at 8:00 pm. New Bedford will take the field again for the 5:30 pm game on Tuesday.
