   Field Maintenance InfoPrint Page

We are excited about the recent partnership between PONY Baseball and Turface Athletics to launch Keep America Playing – a program to provide safer and more playable sports fields across the country. This initiative was created with the desire to bring you the knowledge you need to improve your fields, allowing for a higher quality of play among the nation’s youth.

Keep America Playing is an educational tour, offering coaches, groundskeepers, park and recreation managers, athletic directors, parent volunteers and sports turf association members widespread resources and a hands-on learning experience to help them better manage their fields.

One of the key components is a one-stop educational website, providing step by step field maintenance tips, along with information about the tour itself. You can visit www.keepamericaplaying.com to get involved and learn more about the following four tour cornerstones.

Events: These provide attendees the opportunity for classroom learning and hands-on field maintenance techniques. There will be five national symposiums, held in major U.S. cities, in addition to regional events and local field days held in other communities.

Field Education: Through the website, and various brochures, you can find specific information, tools and resources for baseball, softball, football and soccer field construction and maintenance.
Partnerships: We are teaming up with a number of other organizations, allowing access to even greater resources and expertise to help make the Tour a success.

Involvement: Everyone has the ability to register on the site to receive updates and further education about the Tour.

We encourage all of our members to become actively involved in Keep America Playing by attending events, volunteering, or simply assisting us in spreading the word.
