Patrick Sadler Joins PONY Staff as
Director of Baseball Operations

PONY Baseball and Softball is proud to announce the hiring of Patrick Sadler of Washington, Pennsylvania as the new Director of Baseball Operations. Sadler, 25, is a graduate of Trinity High School (2001) and California University of Pennsylvania (2007) where he received his degree in Sports Management.

“We are very pleased to be able to offer Patrick this position,” stated Abraham Key, President of PONY Baseball and Softball. “Patrick grew up in the organization, played in the Pony and Colt League World Series, represented PONY in the Tournament of Stars and the United States Junior National Team and has a very keen sense of the organization and the constituents we serve.”

Patrick played his youth baseball in Washington as part of Washington Youth Baseball. He participated in the 1997 Pony League World Series on the host team and the 1999 Colt League World Series team in Lafayette, Indiana representing Washington Youth Baseball. He was named to the 2000 and 2001 PONY Tournament of Stars team (the best high school players representing PONY). In 2000 he was selected to represent the United States at the Pan American Games as part of the Junior National Team.

Patrick played college baseball at Gulf Coast Community College and eventually California University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a Sports Management degree in 2007. After college Patrick played professionally in the Frontier League with Ohio Valley in 2005 and the Washington Wild Things in 2006 and 2007.

Patrick lives in Washington and can be contacted by phone at 724-225-1060 (ext: 18) or e-mail at p.sadler@pony.org.
