Youth Baseball Alliance Dream Becomes Reality
 

            Eight youth baseball associations had a dream -- a vision of establishing a true national championship tournament for young players across America – and Eddie Einhorn came through.

            Employing persuasion, negotiation and perhaps perspiration, that vision been realized as the eight groups will send teams to a tournament August 21-24 in Memphis as part of the new Major Youth Baseball Alliance LLC. Executives from each organization gathered to promote the alliance in New York on June 3 and 4. The inaugural National Youth Baseball Championships will feature 10-under and 12-under divisions and may include as many as eight age groups in the future.

The alliance includes Babe Ruth Baseball; Pony Baseball; Dixie Baseball; the American Amateur Baseball Congress; the Amateur Athletic Union of the United States; Super Series Baseball of America; the National Amateur Baseball Federation and the United States Specialty Sports Association...

Patrick Sadler Joins PONY Staff as
Director of Baseball Operations
PONY Baseball and Softball is proud to announce the hiring of Patrick Sadler of Washington, Pennsylvania as the new Director of Baseball Operations. Sadler, 25, is a graduate of Trinity High School (2001) and California University of Pennsylvania (2007) where he received his degree in Sports Management.

We are very pleased to be able to offer Patrick this position,” stated Abraham Key, President of PONY Baseball and Softball. “Patrick grew up in the organization, played in the Pony and Colt League World Series, represented PONY in the Tournament of Stars and the United States Junior National Team and has a very keen sense of the organization and the constituents we serve.”

Patrick played his youth baseball in Washington as part of Washington Youth Baseball. He participated in the 1997 Pony League World Series on the host team and the 1999 Colt League World Series team in Lafayette, Indiana representing Washington Youth Baseball. He was named to the 2000 and 2001 PONY Tournament of Stars team (the best high school players representing PONY). In 2000 he was selected to represent the United States at the Pan American Games as part of the Junior National Team.

Patrick played college baseball at Gulf Coast Community College and eventually California University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a Sports Management degree in 2007. After college Patrick played professionally in the Frontier League with Ohio Valley in 2005 and the Washington Wild Things in 2006 and 2007.
